CHERUBIM
This began with a damaged church window with a cherub face and with the wings you see here and the light descending from clouds. The baby faced cherub of medieval and rennaiscance origin does not speak to me, but there is an implication of innocence combined with cosmic power that I also see in asian spirituality which also connects earthy energies ( form and formless, the cycle of birth and death) with transcendence. Anyway, a bit intense and odd but I often end up in such terrain. WFS* (23+5/8" x 31+1/4") including black lacquered frame
