I was a truck farmer for awhile and still love to work in the garden. And as gardeners learn, the earth works upon us as much as we work upon the earth . Water, air, earth, seeds, roots, stones, stars in the sky, death from life and life from death; we are surrounded with wonders and immersed in mysteries. The man raking is from a Breughel drawing.
WELCOME TRANSOM: This window was created for the front door of a NY home designed by friends. The house is a modern adaptation of architecture from the colonial period, when the pineapple was a luxury for special occasions which came to symbolize the spirit of welcome. Original stained glass art by Joseph Tracy of Brookside Glassworks
